Should I Provide Statements to My Insurance?

Back to Videos

Video Transcript

After you’ve been the victim of a motor vehicle accident, you’re going to have a responsibility to speak with your insurance company, and that may even include providing them with a statement. That’s going to be embedded or included within the contract you have with your insurance company. However, with respect to the insurance company for the party that caused the crash, you have no duty, responsibility, nor obligation to speak with that insurance company, nor provide them with a statement after the crash.

After you’re the victim of a motorcycle accident, you should contact a lawyer to learn what your rights are as the victim of the crash. You need to speak with your insurance company. You need not speak with the insurance company for the at fault party.
