Back to Videos

Video Transcript

In the state of Florida, the statute of limitations for a motor vehicle accident case is four years. It’s two years for a wrongful death case. Then sometimes, in cases against the government, there are also notice requirements where the letter to the government has to be sent within three years. The important thing to know is if you’re the victim of a car accident, there are in fact time limitations, and they can be different depending upon the unique facts and circumstances of your event or your accident. Hence, you should contact a lawyer as soon as possible after being the victim of a crash.
