Are There Any Special Laws That Apply to Bicyclists in Florida?

Back to Videos

Video Transcript

Yes. In the state of Florida, bicyclists have the same rights and responsibilities of those that are driving motor vehicles or motorists. In addition, bicyclists also have laws that are intended to protect them when they’re operating their bicycle. For example, in the state of Florida, when a car, or a motorist, is passing by a bicyclist, the motorist is responsible for giving the bicyclist three feet of space when making that pass. In addition, there are other laws that help protect bicyclists in the state of Florida. If you’ve been injured a while driving a bicycle in the state of Florida, contact our law firm and we can assist you in navigating those bicycle laws.
